Running Posture Analyser

Upload side-view photos from your running video and get a clear, structured read on your form. No scores, no drills — just observations on what the photos show.

Your photos and profile details are forwarded to OpenAI for the analysis; nothing is written to this site's storage.

What the analysis includes

The report opens with a short overall summary, then walks through six areas: Head & Neck Alignment, Overall Posture & Torso Lean, Arm Swing Mechanics, Hip Extension at Toe-Off, Knee Drive in Swing Phase, and Foot Strike & Overstriding. Each area gets a simple status and a written observation based on what is visible in your photos.

A few honest limits: the analyser offers qualitative observations only. It cannot measure joint angles precisely, diagnose injuries, predict injury risk, or promise that changing your form will make you faster or pain-free. For anything that hurts, a physiotherapist or coach is the right call.

Where your photos go

Pressing Analyse sends your photos and profile details to this site's analysis endpoint, which forwards them to OpenAI's vision model to write the report. The handler does not write your photos or profile to this site's storage. For how OpenAI handles API data, see OpenAI's data-usage guide.

Your running profile

Height, weight, age, gender, monthly volume and typical pace are required — the Analyse button stays off until they are filled in. These details help tailor the observations to you, and are sent along with your photos.

How to capture your photos

Record a short side-view clip of yourself running, then screenshot these four key moments of your stride. Keep the whole body in frame and the camera roughly level with your hips — clear, uncropped, unblurred frames give the best read. You can upload up to four images.

Runner at initial ground contact 1

Initial Ground Contact

The lead foot first touches down, reaching ahead of the body.

Runner at full ground contact 2

Full Ground Contact

Body weight passes directly over the planted foot.

Runner at toe-off with trailing leg extended 3

Toe-Off

Push-off, when the trailing ankle reaches farthest behind you.

Runner during swing with thigh raised 4

Swing (Thigh Raised)

The leg swings through with the thigh lifted toward the top.

Upload your photos
