      How scores work

Each of the six areas of fitness is rated from 0–10 (whole numbers only). Scores are conservative and evidence-based — high scores are only awarded when your activity and body data clearly support them, and the coach prefers to under-rate when evidence is weak, missing, or inconsistent.

9–10Rare — requires repeated, clear evidence of superior readiness.
      8Ahead of schedule — strong, goal-specific fitness.
7On track — roughly on schedule with normal training progression.
6Slightly behind — a gap is starting to show.
0–5Meaningful gap — needs addressing before race day.

Body signals (HRV, resting heart rate, sleep) are weighed heavily — if they contradict the activity data, the coach trusts your body's recovery signals. A score of 7 or above means your summary should read as reassuring and forward-looking.

      Your six areas of fitness

      Lactate Threshold

The pace at which lactate accumulates faster than your body can clear it. A higher threshold means you can sustain faster speeds for longer before fatigue sets in — critical for maintaining race pace in the middle third of your race.

      Aerobic Endurance

Your cardiovascular foundation — how efficiently your heart and lungs deliver oxygen to working muscles over sustained effort. This is the base that lets you complete the full race distance without fading.

      Running Economy

How much energy you expend at a given pace. Better economy means you use less oxygen to maintain the same speed, effectively giving you more fuel in the tank for the closing kilometers.

      Strength / Durability

Musculoskeletal resilience — how well your muscles, tendons, and joints handle the repetitive impact of running. Stronger durability means lower injury risk and better late-race form when fatigue sets in.

      VO₂max / Speed

Your maximum oxygen uptake and raw speed ceiling. A higher VO₂max gives you more headroom above race pace, making goal pace feel easier and allowing you to surge when needed.

      Fatigue Resistance

Your ability to maintain performance as fatigue accumulates over the race. This determines whether you can hold your target pace through the final kilometers or whether you slow down in the closing stages.
